Wilhelm Wundt is credited as one of the founders of Psychology (PSY). He crested the first laboratory for Psychological research. In 1873 he published – Principles of Physiological Psychology. He viewed PSY as the study of conscious experience . He also uncovered the fundamental mental components of perception, consciousness, thinking, emotions and other kinds of mental states and activities. Wundt studied consciousness using introspection ( internal perception). Breakdown conscious into objective sensation, subjective feelings and mental images. However, introspection couldn't be scientifically verified. His works were expanded by Edward Titchener.
