India is an ancient country. India is known also as BHARAT and HINDUSTAN. Its capital is New Delhi, which is located in the centre of the country. The culture of India is very pure and beautiful. There are so many religions in India but all live with support to each other by brotherhood. India is an independent country and a democratic system is ruled by the representative of the people. India's boarder is connected with Bangladesh, China, Pakistan, Nepal, Myanmar, Bhutan and Afghanistan. India has the world's 2nd largest Army and 4th largest Air Force. India has their own Atomic bomb.The current population of India is 133.92 crores (2017). Mumbai is the largest city according to the population. India is very favorite place for tourists because they enjoy their journey here at the best level. People of India respect them and try to make them comfortable. India has mountains in the North to East and sea in the South to West. In fact India is the most beautiful country to make an easy tour.
Life: We can say India is a self dependent country because it has their own source of water. And water is the backbone of life. As we can't think a body without heart, just like water is the heart of India.
Area: India is the seventh-largest country in the world, with a total area of 3,287,469 square kilometres (1,269,299 sq mi). India measures 3,214 km (1,997 mi) from north to south and 2,933 km (1,822 mi) from east to west. It has a land frontier of 15,200 km (9,445 mi) and a coastline of 7,516.6 km (4,671 mi). The total forest cover is 708,273 square km, which is 21.54 percent of the total area of the country. Between 2015 and 2017, India has added 6,778 square km of forest cover and extended 1, 243 square km of tree cover. There are nine important rivers of India and they are: The Ganges, Yamuna (a tributary of Ganges), Brahmaputra, Mahanadi, Narmada, Godavari, Tapi, Krishna, and Kaveri. Parts of the Indus River also flow over Indian soil.

Population: The current population of India is 1,361,695,416 as of Tuesday, January 8, 2019, based on the latest United Nations estimates. India population is equivalent to 17.74% of the total world population. According to the 2011 census, 79.8% of the population of India practices Hinduism and 14.2% adheres to Islam, while the remaining 6% adheres to other religions (Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism and various indigenous ethnically-bound faiths). Christianity is the 3rd largest religion in India.
