Killed by husband
Dec 24, 2018
The story is real, nothing is invented.
She was walking along the street. It was late, but she couldn't earn even a penny for tomorrow. Such thoughts come to the mind of every fifth woman in Armenia. There are too many women, who have no opportunity to live, to keep their own babies, who work instead of their husbands. What is the mission of the husband? Nothing, but to lye on the sofa, watch television and wait for the wife, who will bring vodka and something to eat.
Maybe she was also walking along the street that cold night and thinking about the cruel look of her husband at the moment when she entered home with empty hands.
It was already the fortieth woman felt so. Unfortunately these thoughts were final for her. She was just a 20-year-old woman, with many hopes, believes and trusts, that one day would be all right for her. That day didn't come, because there was a husband 10 years older, who got married her just because of his benefit. He was treating with her like a slaver, who had no right even to eat a piece of bread without permission. I am sure, that thousands of times she thought that it was impossible to survive in such harsh conditions, but what could she do. Her parents refused to accept her back thinking about the opinion of their surrounding, she had nowhere to go but to the street. Maybe the street would have been better place, there she could find hundreds of kind faces, maybe one of them would give her hand. It didn't happen, because she also thought about the gossips, opinions and rude expressions of society. She continued to live in prison, feeling the cruelest hand of the husband on her body every single day, ignoring different teasing and awful attitude of her new family, if it is normal to call it family. Not having much experience of life, she continued slaving, continued working for them, continued starving in a silence, because her voice was listened nowhere but her broken soul. This broken and hurt soul would become unbreathing on day after inhuman behavior of her husband, who beat her too much, too awfully. The killing happened in front of some eyes who stayed ignored of this unfortunate woman. She was the fourteenth and we never know, when our term will come.
The most awful aspect of this story the in-normal attitude of Armenian police, who arrested the husband only after the death of poor woman. It seams it has become normal , when the woman is beat and killed. As one particle of this decayed society, we also have our fault in such stories, we suspect the women, who tell us their stories, we consider them some what mad, we look at their problems just behind the iron gates and leave them alone in this cruel and brutal life.
